The Automated Enforcement System (AES) (Malay: Sistem Penguatkuasaan Jalan Raya Automatik) is Malaysia's new road safety enforcement system. Installed on all federal roads, highways and expressways, this system came into operation on 22nd September 2012.
There are a total of 831 locations, 566 for speeding and 265 for traffic light offences. Out of the 831 cameras, 250 are mobile ones that will be located at high risk areas which do not have infrastructure for fixed cameras.
NOTE: Those who receive AES summons notice can call the AES Control Centre for further questions at +603-7846 4400 for offences committed in Perak and +603-7628 8268 for offences in Selangor, Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur.
